Seat Return

Hawthorn’s seat return program allows reserved seat holders who are unable to attend home games to return their reserved seat for resale. If your seat is successfully resold to another patron, you will be awarded a credit towards your 2026 Membership.

  1. To return your seat you must send an email to membership@hawthornfc.com.au with your name and reserved seat location. Members can also return their seat by calling (03) 9535 3045.
  2. Members must return their seat before 3pm, Thursday before each game.
  3. Once your seat has been returned, it cannot be retrieved to use for this match and your membership card will be deactivated for this game.
  4. A credit towards your 2026 membership will only be awarded if your reserved seat is successfully resold through Ticketek. There is no guarantee that a seat returned for resale will be sold.
  5. If a credit is awarded to you, it can only be used on the following season’s membership and it is non-transferable.
  6. Return credits are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  7. You will be notified via email if your seat has successfully been resold.
  8. If your 2025 membership is complimentary or discounted, you are ineligible for a credit award.
  9. If your 2025 membership is behind in monthly instalments, you are ineligible for a credit award.
  10. Below is a full list of credits applicable. Credit denominations are equal to 25% of the daily ticket price of your seat sold via Ticketek/Ticketmaster.

Hawthorn Football Club’s decision on issuance of seat return credits is final and cannot be contested.
