Hawthorn’s seat return program allows reserved seat holders who are unable to attend home games to return their reserved seat for resale. Your reserved seat will allow another Hawks member or fan the opportunity to sit amongst members on a match-day. If your seat is successfully resold you will be awarded a credit towards your 2027 Membership.

How to return your seat:

Via Hawks APP

Open your app and ensure you are logged in
Select 'Members' tab at the bottom of your screen
Access your ticket for the game via 'Access my Digital Tickets'
Click on the relevant match
Scroll down and select "more ticket actions"
Select return
Tick the seats you would like to return
Tick return
Select submit

Via My Hawks

Login to your MyHawks account
Select 'My Events' in the top bar
Click view event details
Select return
Select the seats you would like to return
Tick seat return
Select continue
Select submit

Alternatively, you can email membership@hawthornfc.com.au with your name and reserved seat location. Members can also return their seat by calling (03) 9535 3045.

Important information

Once your seat has been returned, it cannot be retrieved to use for this match and your membership card will be deactivated for this game.
A credit towards your 2026 membership will only be awarded if your reserved seat is successfully resold through Ticketek (MCG) or Ticketmaster (UTAS). There is no guarantee that a seat returned for resale will be sold.https://membership.hawthornfc....
If a credit is awarded to you, it can only be used on the following season’s membership and it is non-transferable.
Return credits are non-refundable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
You will be notified via email if your seat has successfully been resold.
If your 2026 membership is complimentary or discounted, you are ineligible for a credit award.
If your 2026 membership is behind in monthly instalments, you are ineligible for a credit award.
Below is a full list of credits applicable. Credit denominations are equal to 25% of the daily ticket price of your seat sold via Ticketek.
Members must return their seat by Wednesday 5PM prior to the game to be eligible for a credit.
