Members, this match is our fourth and final Replacement Game for 2025.
Due to high demand, the Essendon Football Club in association with the AFL and MCC have declared our Round 1 replacement game against Essendon as a fully ticketed match.
This decision has been made due to predicted high attendance and to ensure the best possible match-day experience for members at one of the biggest games of the year.
This means all members wishing to attend must have upgraded to a reserved seat or standing room ticket via Ticketek for this match.
Replacement game reserved seat holders (incl. Lethal and Legends Club members) can redeem a $0 reserved seat using their membership barcode number. These must be redeemed by Friday 6 March.
Members will be unable to scan in using their digital or physical cards for general admission access.
What is a fully ticketed game?
A 'fully ticketed' game is one where all patrons must hold a reserved seat, i.e. there is no general admission (GA) access.
Any Home & Away season match may be classed as fully ticketed at the discretion of the home team, stadium, and AFL. This decision is based primarily on ticket sales and Member attendance forecasts, and is made to ensure patron safety when large crowds are expected.
When this happens, Members with GA access to the game in question must upgrade to a discounted reserved seat if they wish to attend.
General admission access is always subject to capacity.
I am a replacement game reserved seat member, how do I access the game?
Replacement game reserved seat holders (incl. Lethal and Legends Club members) can redeem a $0 reserved seat using their membership barcode number. These must be redeemed by Friday 6 March.

Reserved seating
Replacement game reserved seat holders (incl. Lethal and Legends Club members) can redeem a $0 reserved seat via Ticketek using their membership barcode number.
All other members with general admission access can ugprade to a reserved seat via Ticketek or simply scan their physical or digital membership card at the gate to access General Admission.
Digital membership cards are now available through the Hawks app. Ensure your app is updated, and add your ticket to your mobile wallet before the game for smooth entry at the MCG.
WHEELCHAIR & ACCESSIBLE SEATING
Members who require wheelchair and accessible seating can contact Ticketek’s Accessible Seating Hotline on 1300 665 915 or complete the Ticketek online form here.
The Ticketek Accessible Bookings team are available Monday – Saturday, 9AM – 5PM, and forms should be completed as early as possible and at least 24 hours prior to the event.
