As a member of Hawthorn Football Club, you are bound by the Member Code of Conduct (as amended from time to time) and you undertake that you will comply with the Member Code of Conduct at all times. The current version of the Member Code of Conduct is available here.
Hawthorn Football Club may from time to time vary the terms and conditions of Hawthorn Football Club membership. Hawthorn Football Club will communicate any change to its terms and conditions of membership via the Hawthorn Football Club website or via email. Members will have no claim against the Hawthorn Football Club by reason of any change made to the terms and conditions of Hawthorn Football Club membership.
(a) The membership card remains the property of Hawthorn Football Club. Membership cards may not be sold, exploited for commercial use, or used for promotional purposes or campaigns without the express written permission of Hawthorn Football Club. If the Club is made aware that a member has sold their membership to another individual, the Club reserves the right to place an indefinite block on the barcode to prevent any further use.
(b) General admission access to matches is not guaranteed. Access is subject to capacity and you are encouraged to reserve a seat in order to guarantee entry, particularly at high demand matches. Members will be required to pay additional fees and charges when reserving a seat. Access may be gained to unreserved seating on a first-come, first served basis subject to availability and Members can upgrade to a reserved seat at the venue for an additional fee subject to availability.
(c) Hawthorn home games are designated at the discretion of the AFL, and any game that is promoted as such is included in a home game membership ticket.
(d) Priority One ‘First Allocation’ (Lethal Club and Legends Club) members from 2019 have priority to renew their current membership and reserved seat for the 2020 season until 31 October 2019. After this date, reserved seats and Priority One ‘First Allocation’ status cannot be guaranteed.
(e) Priority One (Kennedy Club, Gold, Hawks Flexi Gold, Interstate Gold and Tassie Gold) members from 2019 have priority to renew their current membership and reserved seat (if applicable) for the 2020 season until 31 October 2019. After this date, reserved seats and Priority One status cannot be guaranteed.
(f) All reserved seat holders from 2019 with the exception of Priority One and Priority One ‘First Allocation members (Silver, Captain's, Hudson Club, Eade Wing and Pritchard Pocket) have priority to renew their current seat for the 2020 season until 6 December 2019. After this date, reserved seats cannot be guaranteed.
(g) If Hawthorn Football Club is unable to meet your request for membership category or seating allocation after a purchase has been made, we will contact you to discuss further options. Payment of membership must be made at time of receipt of application form by Hawthorn Football Club. If request of membership category cannot be met, Hawthorn Football Club will honour a refund.
(h) Category definitions: Concession: To qualify for a concession membership, you must be the holder of one of the following forms of identification and must produce identification at point of entry HAWTHORN FOOTBALL CLUB into an AFL venue while using your membership to gain entry: Pension Card - Aged, Single Parent or Disability, Veteran Affair Card, Full-time Student Card Baby: Under the age of 2 as at 1 January 2020 Toddler: Under the age of 4 as at 1 January 2020 Youth: Under the age of 18 but over the age of 15 as at 1 January 2020 (Must hold a student card) Junior: Under the age of 15 as at 1 January 2020 Family: Two adults and up to four juniors, under the age of 15 as at 1 January 2020
(i) Access to MCG member rooms including the Miller Room (Lethal Club, Legends Club) and Lindsay Hassett Room (Lethal Club, Legends Club and Kennedy Club members) on match day will be solely through the presentation of your 2020 membership card. If you cannot produce your 2020 membership card, you will not be granted admittance.
(j) All 2020 Cheersquad members must also be members of the Hawthorn Football Club in 2020.
(k) The club cannot accept responsibility whatsoever for membership cards that are lost, stolen or destroyed. Lost membership cards should be reported immediately to the Membership department on 1300 042 957. Upon written confirmation that the card has been lost, a replacement membership card will be issued. Cards cannot be replaced on game day.
(l) Any person seeking a refund must do so in writing, addressed to the Membership and Ticketing Operations Manager. By doing so, the member's request will be taken into consideration, however they are not guaranteed a refund. Members will need to return their core membership pack and membership card to the club before a refund is processed. Core packages must be returned in full to the club in the same condition that these were sent in order to have your refund considered. Members who utilise their membership for match-day entry will be refused a refund.
(m) Members are required to notify the club of any change in circumstance, including the issuing or withdrawal of concession status; member contact details; or any relevant information that could affect their membership of the Hawthorn Football Club.
(n) All membership fulfilment; including members-only loyalty scarf and loyalty cap, is strictly limited. There will be no re-ordering should all stock be depleted.
(o) Seating areas at the MCG and UTAS Stadium are subject to change, these are made upon consultation with the venue. The club will endeavour to advise all members of these changes.
(p) Bay M3 at the MCG (Hawks Flexi 'Family' allocation) is an alcohol-free section of the MCG.
(q) All Hawks Heroes Premium, Baby Hawk and Toddler Hawk members will receive a birthday card within two weeks of their birthdates registered with the club. The birthday card promotion for 2020 members will run from 1 January 2020 to 31 December 2020.
(r) Baby Hawk and Toddler Hawk members will not receive admission into Hawthorn games as part of their membership, therefore a barcode will not be issued.
(s) The 2020 members-only loyalty scarf and loyalty cap given to all members every season is based on the members' consecutive years of financial memberships. Members can query their years of membership by contacting the Membership department on 1300 042 957, however the final decision is at the discrepancy of the Membership and Ticketing Operations Manager. If consecutive years are updated by the membership department a replacement scarf may not be issued until the following season. It is a requirement that should your years lapse, and this is corrected by the Membership and Ticketing Operations Manager, the membership will be put onto HawksDirect to ensure these years do not lapse in future.
(t) If a member has special needs, and holds a state issued Companion card, the member is eligible to receive a second membership, of the same category as they purchase, at no charge. This membership can then be used by a carer when attending football matches with the member.
(u) When attending AFL/VFL/VFLW matches, functions or events supported by the AFL or AFL Club/s, members of the Hawthorn Football Club must abide by policies set out in the member code of conduct. Any incident reports received by officials will be dealt with in an appropriate manner, and Hawthorn Football Club reserves the right to immediately cancel a membership at its own discretion based on violations incurred by members.
